## Research and safety
- White noise: in a small 1990 trial (Spencer et al., Arch Dis Child), 16 of 20 newborns fell asleep within five minutes with white noise vs 5 of 20 without. That trial measured time to fall asleep, not longer sleep.
- Lullabies relax infants, even unfamiliar ones (Bainbridge et al., Nat Hum Behav 2021).
- Safety: some infant sound machines get too loud (Hugh et al., Pediatrics 2014). Keep about 50 dB or less at the crib, the phone at least 2 m away and never in the crib, use a timer.
- Lullsong is not a medical device.

## In development
- Personalized lullabies that sing your baby's name. Not yet in the app.
